I study how artificial intelligence and organizations shape one another. A core interest of mine lies in extreme organizational settings: complex and unpredictable, widely distributed organizations that push the limits of human (only?) ingenuity. By understanding how advanced technologies entangle with human agency and creativity, I explore how such settings accelerate development and innovation. The broader goal of this research is to understand how we might best shape AI for the future.
